Water and Your Brain

Optimal brain function depends on water, and lots of it. Water is necessary for brain signaling, and the vitality of neurotransmitter communication. When the quality of your water is compromised, signals are short-circuited. Water supports our DNA. Water is our largest source of energy, and the brain has no way to store water.

If we use 10cups per day (breathing, perspiring, generating waste) and it is not replenished daily, then the deficiency in the brain accumulates. Brain cells need 2x more energy than any other cell in the body, water supplies that energy.

We have more energy when we are well hydrated, we can think better, and our brain can function at full capacity.  If you are 1% dehydrated, you will have a 5% decrease in cognitive function.  A 2% loss in body water can trigger fuzzy thinking, memory problems, trouble with math and basic focusing.  Prolonged dehydration of the brain cells can cause them to shrink. Water is important brain food and enhances productivity.

You can’t stay hydrated with other beverages.

Water removes toxins from the brain and delivers vital nutrients…if you’re drinking the right water. Kangen water absorbs into cells and the brain quickly, making energy more available.
